LONDON : Roger Federer or Andy Roddick for the Wimbledon title on Sunday Federer has a record of 18-2 over the American, beating him in the 2004 and 2005 finals.
Here, defeated semi-finalists Tommy Haas, who lost to Federer, and Andy Murray, knocked out by Roddick, provide their insights on where the final will be won and lost.
TOMMY HAAS
"There aren't really any weaknesses. I think he (Federer) moves in such smooth ways and has such good defensive play. The slice bites a lot. When you think sometimes you might get a relatively easy volley, he kind of either dinks it in front of you, or makes spectacular sliced lobs.
"I think sometimes maybe if he feels a little bit pressure or gets a little bit tight, maybe sometimes he can make some unforced errors, especially against those types of players that move really well themselves and keep the ball in play mostly than being very aggressive.
"I think Andy Roddick is playing some of his best tennis that I've seen. Playing extremely well. Serving well. But I wouldn't give him really a chance to beat Roger in the final. Maybe take a set. That's my opinion."
ANDY MURRAY
"A lot of people think that he (Roddick) doesn't return that well. But he has a decent return. It's not the best and it's definitely not the worst. He doesn't miss that many returns on second serves.
"Because he serves so well, it makes it even more important for you to serve well. If you don't do that, then he's going to create chances.
"I think if he serves like he did against me he's got a chance against anyone because it comes down to a few points in each set. If someone serves 130mph consistently throughout the match, and in the high 75-80 percent, it's very tough to break them, especially on a court like this that's quick.
"I think Federer has a good return. I don't think that it's incredible. He doesn't break serve as much as a lot of the guys. But he'll make Andy play. If Andy gives him enough chances, Roger's going to take them.
"Roddick needs to serve very well, especially at the start of all of the games to try and get ahead, not give Roger that chance to swing freely at balls. If he can always stay 15-0 up, 30-0 up in games, it's going to be tough.
"But Roger is the favourite. If he plays his best and passes well, then there's no reason why he can't win."
